just came back from sitting in the sun.
haha before that, went to climb stairs.
eh feels so nice la. haha im now a small slight shade browner then before!! yes. but i only sat for one hour and the sun was abit erratic. (got alot of clouds)

anyway, i was also reading The Miracle Life of Edgar Mint, when i had a moment of epiphany! i realised, that reading, does not necessarily equate to reading.
you know you know. all my life, i have been reading and devouring plenty of books, but only today did i realise that nowadays when i read many things are running through my mind.... change of narrator, themes of the novel, how the characters are presented, how that brings out the local flavour of the story... what the author is trying to bring across, his/her intent, the tone, the attitude towards the subject. THIS is what i call reading. before that, when i read, i'm just reading on the very surface.. compared to what i'm doing now, i feel like i never even skimmed the surface of its waters. hahaah omg i feel so thankful for taking lit all of a sudden.. although i've never been particularly good at it.. but it's really nice to be reading the book on more then one layer like what i always do previously.
i feel like i understand and read more into the novel.. such that those words are no longer JUST words. haha not like what they were last time, letters on a page. omg words are so powerful they can really 'three-dimensionise' things, if there's such a thing in the world :) i feel like im transcending my onwn intellectual abilities. THIS IS COOL.
